The
evil oil tycoon from the country of Shandra, Sharmon Plurscad, has
threatened the US and countries abroad with terrorist attracts.
Using weapons of mass destruction, Plurscad has said he would destroy
major cities if his demands are not met. His ultimate goal is to
rule the world with his strange religious cult.
Showing the
world great determination, Plurscad managed to launch his privately
funded satellite 200-miles into orbit, complete with a new heat-sinking
technology capable of leveling anything within a 200-mile radius.
Aimed at major cities, the satellite has been programmed to strike
if any attempts are made to destroy it.
Mario Rackman
Jr., a special operations agent for the Navy, has obtained a secret
code capable of dismantling the satellite. On this highly dangerous
mission deep in the treturous mountains of Shandra, he also managed
to kill the only other person with this code, a scientist involved
in the weapon's creation.
But on his way
out of the country, Rackman was captured and placed in a torture
chamber until he gave Plurscad's goon squad the code.
Penny Cest and
Cindy Taylor were summoned to meet the challenge of this most dangerous
situation. With Cest's martial art skills and Taylor's extreme intelligence,
the two women must free Rackman, capture Plurscad and then fly into
orbit to dismantle the space weapon.
Penny Cest and
Cindy Taylor first teamed up in 1985, The
Corvette Killer, to stop a serial murderer. Once again in 2002,
A Travel Through Time, the
dual managed to stop the threat of a time paradox capable of destroying
the universe.
The first series
was published in The Santa Clara
American, a Silicon Valley Newspaper, as a weekly series. It
ran from October, 1985 to June, 1986.
