The
Alameda
Acrylic on canvas 36" X 48"

Taking place in the late fifties, the painting looks north up
Alameda Blvd.. in Santa Clara. Ed's Chuck Wagon Restaurant was a popular spot
to wine and dine during the fifties into the early sixties. It later became
The King's Table Restaurant, but was gutted by fire the seventies and later
demolished. Across the street but not seen in the painting was Tiny's Drive-In
Restaurant which is now a Chinese eatery. Andy's Pet shop, seen in the foreground,
still exists today.
